三重回波
所有的超聲測厚儀都應按照被測材料的聲速標定。涂層中的聲速與金屬不同，在測量中須去除涂層的厚度。三次回波能在測量中能去除所有涂層的影響。
工作原理：
發(fā)射的超聲波脈沖穿過涂層與金屬并從底部反射。反射回波在金屬中往復反射，每次只有一小部分回波穿過涂層返回。兩個小回波之間的時間即是聲波在金屬中的傳播時間，與金屬厚度相對應?；夭ú恍枰沁B續(xù)的，儀器可以自動判斷回波并計算出厚度值。每次確認最小的三個回波，即自動測量驗證系統(tǒng)（AMVS）。
